Style and Performance (UK) Ltd offers goods as displayed on this site to Trade and retail.

Product descriptions and prices

Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, Style and Performance (UK) Ltd will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling.

All items are offered subject to availability. If on receipt of your order, the item(s) you have ordered are not in stock, Style and Performance (UK) Ltd will inform you as soon as possible, giving you the option to have them placed on back-order for dispatch when returned to stock. If you decline this option, a reduction in payment equal to the value of the out of stock items will be made. If you pay by cheque, a credit will be assigned to your account.

Photographs

We have gone to great lengths to illustrate our products, but each image should be viewed in conjunction with the descriptive text and will, of course, be limited by the screen settings of your own monitor screen. If an exact colour match is vital, we recommend you contact us.

Payment

We ask for payment in advance of posting. This can be by Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Electron via our secure shopping system, or by cheque or postal order or cash via recorded mail (at senders own risk) for UK customers. Your card will not be debited until your order is dispatched, but, for security reasons, we bank cheques on receipt. If you are shopping from outside the United Kingdom, your card company will convert the transaction into your own currency.

Security on any online shopping site is obviously of paramount importance to customers and retailers alike, and we are no different. When you start the order process you can be sure that every step of the way is 100% secure.

Below are answers to few questions we are commonly asked:

How Secure am I?

VERY - Throughout the order process, every bit of information that is transferred between you and us is encrypted using 128bit encrytion. So even if someone could intercept the data you enter over the internet, they wouldn't be able to understand it. It is safer to order online than with traditional mail or telephone shopping!

How do I know the website is secure?

When in a secure area, your browser will display a picture of a small padlock towards the bottom of your screen. Very rarely, this padlock will not appear, even though you are secure - to double check this, you can right click on the page and select 'properties' or 'view frame info'. This will bring up details of the page you are looking at, including information about the connection.

Also look out for the change in the URL (the web site address). A standard page will begin with "http://". A secure web page will begin with the "https://" denoting that you are viewing the page via a secure connection.

Is shopping with the Style and Performance safe?

Communication between you and us is encrypted using the SSL (secure sockets layer) mechanism built into your browser. This ensures that even if someone were able to monitor the traffic between you and us, they would not be able to read it. Encryption is used on all pages within the ordering process, making shopping as safe as possible.

Is the transaction Real-Time?

No, we process all Credit/Debit Card transactions offline. After you have confirmed your purchase, we verify the card, address and amount with your bank so that authorization is given before we complete the order. However, no actual payment is taken until your goods are dispatched.

Do you check for fraudulent cards?

We check all cards to check that the details provided match those held with your issuing bank. This verification of your details is carried out to ensure we maintain a high level of secure transactions over the Internet, and that no personal slight is intended. Indeed, our policy is to protect you, the Customer.

What is the Card Security Number?

This is a special 3 or 4 digit number that appears on the far right side of the signature strip on your card. This number is unique to each card, and gives you extra protection against fraud.

Do I have any Legal Protection?

You are protected by the normal laws of England, in particular The Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994 (c. 35) and the Consumer Protection Act 1987 (c.43) If you have any further concerns about security or payments, please feel free to contact us. 

Shipping / Postage & Packing

Postage and Packing charges for items shipped within mainland United Kingdom (excluding Scottish highlands) are included in the cost of your order We reserve the right to make reasonable charges for heavier items. Please contact us for overseas shipping charges. They are calculated by weight of contents and by destination. To see a summary of our Shipping charges, please The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order. We aim to dispatch all orders within 5 working days, provided no additional security checks are required and all stock items are available. During busy times, or for bespoke orders, this time frame can increase. A working day is any day other than weekends and bank or other public holidays.

If delivery cannot be made to your address for reasons under Style and Performance (UK) Ltd‘s control Style and Performance (UK) Ltd will inform you as soon as possible and refund or credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for delivery.

If you deliberately fail to take delivery of the order (otherwise than by reason of circumstances under control of Style and Performance (UK) Ltd) then without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to Style and Performance (UK) Ltd, Style and Performance (UK) Ltd  may :  a) store the items in the order until actual delivery and charge you for reasonable costs (including insurance) of storage; or b) sell the items in the order at the best readily obtainable price and (after deducting all reasonable storage and selling expenses) account to you for any excess over the price you agreed to pay for the items or charge you for any shortfall below the price you agreed to pay for the items.

If you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Distance Selling Regulations Style and Performance (UK) Ltd  shall refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the order, less any expenses incurred for failed delivery.

Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, Style and Performance (UK) Ltd will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, Style and Performance (UK) Ltd will inform you as soon as possible.

If a carrier is used, upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the items received in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of the package at that moment in time please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any claim for replacement or refund that you make thereafter.

Your Right of Cancellation (Distance Selling Regulations)

You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to the end of 7 working days after you receive your order (see below).

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to Autostyle Direct (UK) Ltd by letter, fax or email, giving details of the items ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. Notification by phone is not sufficient.

If you exercise your right of cancellation after the items have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning them to Style and Performance (UK) Ltd at your own cost. The items must be returned to: Style and Performance (UK) Ltd. You must take reasonable care to ensure the items are not damaged in the meantime or in transit.

Once you have notified Style and Performance (UK) Ltd that you are cancelling the contract, style and performance (UK) Ltd will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the items. If you do not return the goods as required, style and performance (UK) Ltd may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the items.

Returns and Refunds

If we make a mistake with your order, or if the goods received are in some way faulty, we have a no quibble returns policy. Simply return the item and we will replace it with the correct one. We will pay your return postage costs.

If you change your mind for any other reason, we are happy to exchange items, refund or credit your account, provided the goods are returned to us within 14 days of their receipt, in the original packaging and in a saleable condition. We regret, however, that we cannot, in this case, refund return postage costs.

In most cases, any credit will be made direct to the payment method originally used either less our full or a contribution towards our original postage costs, and / or in some instances a ‘re-stocking’ fee that will compensate us for costs involved in processing the original order, or returning your product to the original supplier . This may be between 10 – 25% of the items retail price.

Out of Stock Items

Sometimes, items are, for a variety of reasons, temporarily out of stock. We try to alert you to this fact on the website, but just occasionally, demand exceeds supply. If a product you have ordered is out of stock, we tell you about the problem, dispatch the rest of your order as normal, and place the out of stock item on back order. We try to estimate when new stocks will arrive and always give you the option of cancelling either the whole order or simply the out of stock item, if you would prefer not to wait. If you do opt to await new stock arriving, we would debit your card for the whole of the original order, plus postage and packing charges, on dispatch of the part order. The out of stock item will be forwarded to you immediately it becomes available, without further shipping charges.

V.A.T. (Value Added Tax)

All prices on this website include a UK sales tax of 17.5% for V.A.T. This applies to UK customers and those resident within the European Union (EU). If you live outside the EU, this tax will be deducted from your order at checkout. Please note that to be eligible for a VAT reduction, we need to deliver to an address outside the EU.

Limitation of Liability

style and performance (UK) Ltd’s total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this agreement shall be limited to the price paid for the goods. Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits the liability of Autostyle Direct (UK) Ltd for death or personal injury caused by the Supplier's negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.

If you are a business customer style and performance (UK) Ltd shall not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with this agreement.

Data Protection

style and performance (UK) Ltd will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure but unless style and performance (UK) Ltd  is negligent, style and performance (UK) Ltd will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you.

Applicable Law

These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the contract.
